Nivium respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Nivium handles, how it is used, and how it may be shared when you use the app and related services.

Information Nivium Handles

Nivium may handle the following information that you provide while using the app:

• voice notes and pasted text
• snow profile field entries
• rendered profile content
• profile metadata such as run name, observer, date, location, weather, and snow conditions

Nivium may also store generated app files on your device, including:

• saved profiles
• rendered PDF files
• rendered preview images

How Information Is Used

Nivium uses this information to:

• format voice notes into structured snow profile content
• generate rendered snow profile outputs
• save profiles to your device archive
• support sharing and export features you choose to use
• operate, maintain, and improve the app

Voice Notes and Formatting

When you use the Voice Notes workflow, your voice-note text may be sent to Nivium’s hosted formatter service in order to produce structured snow profile output.

That formatter service currently uses hosted AI processing to help interpret and format raw note content.

Rendering

When you generate a plotted profile, the structured profile content may be sent to Nivium’s hosted rendering service to create:

• a rendered PDF
• a preview image

Local Device Storage

Nivium stores saved profiles and related generated files on your device so that you can:

• reopen saved profiles
• keep an archive
• preview rendered outputs
• share finished files

If you delete the app or delete saved items from the archive, locally stored app data may be removed from your device.

Sharing

If you choose to use the share or export features, Nivium may pass generated files or text to your device’s native sharing tools. What happens after you share something depends on the app, service, or person you share it with.

Data Sharing

Nivium does not sell your personal information.

Nivium may share data only as needed to operate the service, including:

• hosted formatter processing
• hosted rendering
• infrastructure and hosting providers

Data Retention

Profile data and generated files may remain on your device until you delete them.

Information sent through hosted formatter or renderer services may be processed temporarily in order to complete the requested operation. Operational logs or limited service data may be retained for reliability, security, and troubleshooting.

Security

Nivium uses reasonable measures intended to protect information handled by the app and its services. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children’s Privacy

Nivium is not directed to children under 13, and is not intended for use by children under 13.

Changes To This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If it changes, the updated version will be posted here.
